🛠️ Requirements:

  • Access to your Domain Provider account (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).

  • Confirm that your new Investor Hub website is fully designed, with all content transferred from your old hub, and has been published.

Step 1. Updating Your Investor Hub

1.1 Log in to your Investor Hub account and go to Settings.

1.2 Disconnect your current hub domain e.g. investorhub.yourcompany.com

Important! From the moment you disconnect your hub domain, your investor hub will be down until you’ve completed all the steps below. DNS propagation can sometimes also take a few hours, so make sure that this is okay before proceeding.

1.3 Enter your new website domain.

Enter your website domain as yourcompany.com (no www) and click Save.

Wait! Keep this page open! Don’t exit the InvestorHub domain page just yet, we’ll still need to refer back to it to see which DNS records to add to your domain’s DNS configuration.

Step 2. Updating Your Domain Provider

2.1 Go to your domain provider.

Log in to the website where you originally bought or registered your domain (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare).

2.2 Find the DNS Settings or DNS Configuration page for your domain.

Here are some navigation guides from popular domain providers if you need it:

2.3 Add a new A Record:

Read this first! If your domain provider is already Vercel, skip this step and go to Step 2.3.1. Add a new TXT Record.

Go back to your InvestorHub domain page and open up the Investor hub section down the page. Make sure that the record you are being prompted to add here is an A record and matches the value below. If not, skip to Step 2.3.1. Add a new TXT Record.

Make sure that the record you are being prompted to add here is an A record and matches the value below. If not, skip to Step 2.3.1. Add a new TXT Record.

If you are being prompted to add an A record, head back to your domain provider’s DNS configuration page for your company domain.

If an A record to your root domain already exists, delete it first.

Then add the following A record:

Type

Name

Value

TTL

A

yourcompany.com or @
(depends on your provider)

76.76.21.21
(sometimes this value can be different, make sure to check what value your InvestorHub domain page is telling you to add!)

Auto or 3600

Example: Adding an A record on Cloudflare.

Important! In the example above, Cloudflare uses @ to represent the root domain.

However, other domain providers may instead require that you input your full root domain e.g. yourcompany.com. Be sure to check what convention your domain provider requires.

2.3.1 Add a new TXT Record:

If you were not prompted to add an A record in the Step 3 above, then your domain provider is probably Vercel. In this case, you do not need to delete any records.

Refer back to your InvestorHub domain page, it should prompt you to add a TXT record.

Add the TXT record specified in your InvestorHub domain page.

Press on `Copy` to get the exact values to ensure there are no typos.

2.4 Add a new CNAME Record:

If there is already an existing CNAME record for www, delete it first.

Then add the following CNAME record.

Type

Name

Value

TTL

CNAME

www

Auto or 3600

2.5 Check for CNAME records pointing to cname.vercel-dns.com:

If you have already integrated your subdomain with us before, you may already have CNAME records pointing to the value cname.vercel-dns.com. These records will redirect the chosen subdomain to your main website. E.g. investorhub.companyname.com will redirect to yourcompany.com.

Usually, we’d have recommended you used a subdomain like investorhub or investors, but you could of also named the record/used whatever subdomain you wanted to.

Overall, if there are any CNAME records that are already pointing to cname.vercel-dns.com, you can just leave them as they are.

Example: A Namecheap domain that already has an existing CNAME record configured for its investorhub subdomain. investorhub.companyname.com will redirect to companyname.com in this case.

If you do not want to set up more subdomains that redirect to your main website, skip to Step 2.6 Final steps!

2.5.1. (Optional) If you want to add subdomains (e.g. www) that redirect to your main website :

For example:

  • www.yourcompany.com redirects to yourcompany.com; or

  • investors.yourcompany.com redirects to yourcompany.com; or

  • somethingelse.yourcompany.com redirects to yourcompany.com

Use the format below, and replace yoursubdomain with your subdomain of choice:

Type

Name

Value

TTL

CNAME

yoursubdomain

Auto or 360

A Namecheap hosted domain that has three domains set up to point to their main website.

Make a note of all the subdomains you want to add and let us know so we can hook them up on our end.

2.6 Final steps!

  1. On your InvestorHub, please update your sender email address once all the DNS has been connected before you start sending email address.

2. On your InvestorHub, update any old website links in your email templates to your new website.

3. Inform Investor Hub support that you’ve completed all of the steps above so we can complete any remaining redirects.

Step 3. Visit your new website

After completing the setup, it’s time to confirm everything is working smoothly.

  1. Check Your Domain:

Open a browser and go to your website by typing both companyname.com and www.companyname.com in the address bar.

Ensure that the content displays correctly and matches the new Investor Hub website.

  2. Verify Any Redirects:

If you previously had an investorhub.companyname.com subdomain, try visiting it as well. It should now redirect to your main website (e.g., companyname.com), if you configured it this way.

  3. Allow Time for Changes:

Keep in mind that DNS changes can take a few hours to fully update across the internet. If your website doesn’t appear as expected right away, give it a little time and check back later.

    1. Reach Out if Needed:

If you encounter any issues or your website isn’t displaying as expected, let our support team know, and we’ll be happy to help!

With these final checks, your website is now live on the Investor Hub platform. Congratulations on the successful transition!
