Prerequisites: Read through 'Getting Started With the Home Page'

Outcome: Understand and interpret your estimated SPP raise amounts

Overview

The SPP estimation page (under the 'raise capital' section of the navigation) is our analysis of the amount you could raise through an SPP based off of the characteristics of your investors.

Your SPP estimation consists of 3 sections:

Pre-Scenario Estimation

Please note this is sample data and is for example purposes only.

At first glance, a range will be generated, indicating a low and a high for an amount that could be raised. This is our Pre-Scenario Estimation, and it is an estimation of your potential SPP raise amount when ignoring how the price of the stock moves during the SPP.

SPP Insights

Please note this is sample data and is for example purposes only.

Beneath this initial estimation, you'll find your SPP insights which summarises some key factual information about your shareholder base. These figures also flow into the estimation.

If our prediction is exactly what you were hoping and you're ready to kick off your SPP, then perhaps it is time to begin planning.

Beneath the scenario model you can select "Start planning your SPP" to get in contact with our experts and begin the process of running your SPP.

Scenario selection

While not the sole determining factor for an SPP, historical data has shown that how the company's stock price performs during their SPP can affect whether an investor participates or not and for how much. We encourage you to play with the scenarios to get a full scope of what you are capable of raising.

There are 3 scenarios that you can click on to factor in. They are:

  • Strong Performance;

  • Average Performance; and

  • Poor Performance.

These scenarios will differ significantly in amount raised, and are intended to inform you as to the potential outcomes of the raise.

🌱 Don’t worry if the outcomes are not what you expected, that simply means you might need to grow your shareholder base a bit or engage more with your shareholders before you raise!

  • How do you calculate how much I can raise through an SPP?

Our model is based off of historical data from a range of industries, and factors in several characteristics based off of your shareholders attributes in order to determine a likely range of SPP outcomes. We are always improving our model with additional data and expect it to only get more accurate over time.

  • Is this a guarantee of how much I can raise?

No, but it is a good indicator of what situations you can hope to expect. Every SPP is different, but using our model and our scenarios will provide you with more certainty as to whether now is the right time to raise or not.
