Why should I include a video or summary?

Your interactive announcements not only let your investors comment on your content, but it also allows you to provide more context by including an optional summary or video of your announcement.

Summaries can help to attract more readers by putting your announcement's most interesting findings at the very front. Meanwhile, videos provide you with an opportunity to recontextualise your announcement by providing more insight that may have not made it into the announcement. πŸ™Œ

πŸ’‘ We recommend doing this for important announcements or ones that require a bit more industry knowledge and explanation. You can also use videos to both soften less favourable points and to further emphasise positive ones.

You can also start the conversation by adding in a question or comment or by directly annotating your announcement. By adding in more content, you allow for more opportunities for your users to engage and generate more value.

How to add content to your Announcements

Step 1. Go to the specific announcement of interest

Firstly, go to the Interactive media tab on the navigation sidebar under Engagement. From there locate and click on the announcement you'd like to add content to by either finding its name under the Interactive announcements tab or by using the search bar.

Step 2. Click Edit to add or edit your content

If you have not added any content yet, you will also find a banner suggesting you to "Boost your announcement" that will also direct you to the editing page, where you can upload your content.

Step 3. Add your summary

You can add a summary by expanding the Add a summary box. Summaries are limited to 200 words.

Step 4. Add a video

You can include a video to your announcement by either uploading your video or, if it is publicly available on the internet, by pasting in a link to your video. Video uploads are limited to 10MB and in either a MOV or MP4 format for the upload to work (and of high quality).

πŸ’‘Tip: Adding videos to your announcements can increase engagement by >60%

Step 5. Add a question or annotation

You can also add a question, which will be publicly visible, to get the conversation going. You can also annotate your announcement to add more details.

Step 5. Publish + view your changes

Ensure you are happy with your video before publishing, as once you've hit Publish, the changes will now be viewable to all visitors on your hub.

Your summary will be added to the top of the chosen announcement, viewable by all investors looking at this announcement. You can view the announcement as an investor would by clicking View on investor hub on the top right.

Below is what investors will see at the top of your interactive announcement πŸ‘‡

πŸ’‘ Suggested copy to include on your announcement

For your first interactive announcement, you could write up a summary like the following:

"We are very excited to be launching our first interactive announcement!

This initiative is part of our new Investor Hub, offering you the chance to engage with [COMPANY] in new ways. As a one-stop shop for all news and announcements related to [COMPANY], you can now digitally interact with announcements and other news via the Hub. This means that you can ask questions of us and other shareholders within the context of announcements and ask questions of the [COMPANY] team in general. We will get back to you [timebox timeline of when you will be responding to questions].

Please see the video for more information."

Increase Engagement

To ensure your shareholders are viewing your new exciting interactive announcements, ensure you're distributing the interactive announcement link across:

  • ASX announcements

  • Social media

  • Email campaigns

  • Link to hot copper

  • Media pieces (Stockhead, Proactive Investors, etcs.,)

Quick Distribution!

To make it easy for you to distribute via email, we've included a quick link on the announcement or activity update itself that will take you to a template email with the link included. Update the message if you link to include more context or hit send and you're ready to go πŸ€—
